My name is Karl-Heinz Rauen. I have been hunting in Germany for the past eighteen years and am currently one of several leaseholders of a 2400 acre (1000 hectar) area with excellent small game hunting.

I have been engaged actively with the breeding of Deutsch Drahthaar for ten years. I am also an approved “Verbandsrichter” (Performance Judge) and in 2001 was also designated a Verbandsschweißrichter (Blood Tracking Judge). During the spring and summer months, I am very active educating and training dogs and handlers at all levels-VJP, HZP and VGP.

On the following pages I would like to present my dogs to you. They are the result of many years of hard work. I hope you have a lot of fun with this homepage.

Matze vom Schinkelberg

Matze is a robust male with great presence out of first-class parents, that both have both achieved recognition for the quality of their offspring

This male was presented at the Hegewald in October 2004 and was awarded scores of Conformation 11 and Coat 11 (sg11/sg11). At that time, Matze was voted the second most beautiful male. Following the recommendations of judges that had seen Matze, he was presented 4 months later at a Breed Show in February of 2005.

With greater maturity, he was awarded scores of Conformation 12 and Coat 11 (v12/sg11). ... more
